Summary: Responsible for supervising platform under the direction of the Wheel and Carousel operator including the safe loading and unloading guests into and onto amusement rides by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures guests are safely loaded into gondola and carousel rides

  • Adheres to all safety guideline procedures and practices

  • Monitors attraction perimeter and restricted areas, such as the wheel, platform, ramps, access gate, and back area

  • Greets guests as they approach and exit the rides

  • Groups guests in to the maximum number for each ride

  • Maintains and cleans area

  • Serves as back up scanner

  • Assists guests with disabilities

  • Communicates effectively to the wheel operator when it is safe to move

  • Responsible to stop the ride if a safety matter arises

  • Provides oversight for platform operation and its employees

  • Cleans platform and surrounding areas

  • Stocks VIP supplies

  • Performs Attraction Attendant Duties as necessary

  • Maintains a safe ride perimeter ensuring that all access gates are secured while an attraction is in motion (Wheel and Carousel)

  • Maintains a safe operation, making sure all guests are in proper riding position (Carousel)

  • Maintains professional posture and attentiveness to attractions and their perimeters (Wheel, Carousel, Mini-Golf)

  • Ensures all guests meet height and/or age requirement to ride or participate in the attraction (Wheel, Carousel, Mini-Golf)

  • Ensures that operator panel is free of faults and if faults are displayed, contact the manager on duty for assistance (Carousel)

  • Ensures that all passengers remain seated on or in a secured standing position on the ride platform until ride comes to a complete stop (Carousel)

  • Listens for unusual sights, sounds, or smells that may indicate mechanical failure within the ride and reports any findings to appropriate personnel (Wheel and Carousel)

  • Ensures that wheelchair ramp is secured before and while ride is in motion (Wheel and Carousel)

  • Ensures that guests with disabilities in wheelchairs, are properly secured to ride platform at designated anchor points (Carousel)

  • Completes final pre-ride inspection of each guest to ensure that the ride can be safely operated (Carousel)

  • Assists guest as they load onto passenger seats if necessary (Wheel and Carousel)

  • Maintains clean guest and back areas (Wheel, Carousel, Mini-Golf)

  • Maintains stock in booth including tickets and office supplies

  • Accurately reports inventory levels

Photo and Retail Supervisor

Summary:  Responsible for day-to-day site operations by leading, inspiring and motivating your teams to maximize revenues while delivering the highest levels of guest service.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages all employee relations issues in line with company policy and procedure.

  • Supervises the photography staff to ensure an efficient, pleasant guest experience

  • Plans, assigns and directs work of staff

  • Assists in staff scheduling utilizing budget and operational guidelines

  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems

  • Ensure site photography and retail operation is fully resourced

  • Process inventory orders to maintain inventory levels and ensure accuracy of all media inventory records and retail items

Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Summary: Assists the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Technician in performing tasks to ensure the safe operation of all attractions and a pleasant guest experience.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Comply with all OSHA and manufacturer safety regulations

  • Assist in daily safety inspections to ensure safe operations and a positive guest experience

  • Assist in maintaining required inspection and safety records

  • Communicate with maintenance manager/other team members regarding maintenance issues

  • Ensure a clean, safe environment for employees and guests

  •  Assist Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Technician with other maintenance tasks and duties related to the Wheel, Carousel, and Mini-Golf

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in general maintenance

  • Experience in a theme park or attraction setting preferred

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to climb up to a 90’ ladder and work on delicate systems

  • Ability to use general maintenance tools including multi-meters

  • Extreme attention to detail, manual dexterity and an aptitude for electrical work and electronics.

  • Must be available to work an irregular schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma required

Broad technical training required (3-4 years practical experience).

English Language Proficiency

Theme Park or Attraction experience preferred

Wheel Operator

Summary: Responsible for the operation of the Wheel including the safe loading and unloading guests into and onto amusement rides by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Directly responsible for the safe operation of the Wheel, including maintaining proper Wheel balance as specified by Manufacturer.

  • Directly oversees platform staff to assist with ensuring guest and team member safety.

  • Monitors all functions of the Wheel including motor current, designated operational presets (Speed & Acceleration), and Gondola cabin temperature.

  • Tracks and records number of guests loading into Gondola, in designated database, for each ride cycle.

  • Works with platform staff to ensure that Restricted Area/Danger Zone is free of guests at all times.

  • Acts as designated emergency personnel for Wheel-related emergencies that may result in emergency evacuation including, but not limited to, severe weather, loss of power, and guest illness.

  • Assists with maintenance inspections, as requested.

  • Responds to emergency communications initiated by Gondola call buttons.

  • Maintains expert-level knowledge of all Wheel functions and operational guidelines.

  • Monitors weather for inoperable conditions and can use best judgement to decide to off-load Wheel if weather conditions are or become unsafe.

  • Completes Daily Inspection Checklist that ensures that proper preliminary checks have been completed before opening to the public.

  • Performs final run of attraction to make sure that all guests have been offloaded before parking attraction and powering-down control system.

  • Performs final platform walk to ensure that all storage doors and gate locks are secured and that all guests have cleared platform before main gates are secured for the night.

  • Assists with ensuring basic labor laws are followed.

  • Maintain clean guest and back areas.

  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Has oral and written proficiency of the English language.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations

where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in

written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Education/Experience:

One to two years related experience and/or training operating amusement rides.
